Day 4- Denver, CO

We didn’t have to swim out of our tent!!! The campground didn’t flood.  Today was the earliest morning we have had…we woke up at 4am in order to pack up and hike 1.5mi in to Delicate Arch. It was well worth the grogginess, the arch was amazing!!! We arrived just in time to see the sunrise, and we were the first ones there! We had the arch to ourselves for an hour (this was so cool…especially since the day before we saw tons of people going to this arch).

After our little wake up hike, we started cruising to Grand Junction, CO. Jess was a champ at driving while the rest of us passed out. We stopped in Grand Junction to refuel- the car and us. We got coffee and muffins at My Favorite Muffin. The muffins were out of this world. In total we got 17 muffins (some were mini)…10 were Katie’s J

We are so pumped that the father east we go the cheaper gas gets!! We are thinking about stocking up. We went straight to Golden City to meet Chris for the Coors Factory tour. It was great, free beer!! We got to try a bunch of beers, some regulars like Blue Moon and Coors Light, but also some rare ones like Colorado Native (only can get it in CO) and Batch 19 which is a beer from a recipe before prohibition (only can get it at the Coors Factory)!!

After the tour, we headed to Chris’ house…it is a crazy nice house in Aurora, CO.  Once we got to the house, we settled in…SHOWERED immediately, got some food at Qdoba (Chipotle equivalent) and were off to his little 5yr old cousin's birthday partay! This family is awesome…his mom cut up fruit for us, and bought us muffins for the drive. Thank you guys SO much!!!!!!

After the fam time, we headed out to The Stampede…a country western bar/line dancing club. It was ridiculous…the lady at the front had to tell us twice before we comprehended that there was no cover charge…and every girl got 5 free drink coupons. (First thought…moving to CO) This place was great…we had so much fun meeting all sorts of new people. Katie rode the bull (they don’t fool around with their bulls out here).

Long boring drive tomorrow to Omaha…but we get to see Moni!!!!!!!! So excited!
